Cell phone charging?

They had them, they are missing
If i remember everything thing was an option back then. I maybe mis-rembering, but as a kid I went with my Dad to buy a new 1969 Galaxy wagon and going thru the list of options. When he came to the lighter he said "No I don't smoke", he did get an AM radio though. He had 6 kids and my Mom didn't work, so they saved money when they could.

I keep this in my console with a cord. The voltage gauge is handy when sitting at a car show listening to the radio all day.

color me shocked that your car doesn't have a lighter. i thought all cars from back when did.

hell, my barracuda has TWO... and SIX (!!) ashtrays!

ETA: now that i'm thinking about it... there may actually be three lighters: ashtray, dash, console. i don't smoke, so i rarely use the ashtray.
Heck, my 33 Imp convertible has a CIGAR lighter (says so in the owners manual), and my 33 sedan has three. (One in the dash, one in each rear armrest.)
I wonder if those chargers will work with a 6 or 8 volt source.

I got some stock style lighter socket and they seem to work.
Thanks

About once a week, in the various thrift stores, I look for the "cable bin," and buy up any plug in USB supplies after carefully looking at them through my magnifier for the higher amperage ones. They vary all the way from .5A to as much as 2

Then I dig through the USB cables to see what I can find.

You can also buy these special battery packs, with various bullshit names, that act like they are a USB charger. So you need "whatever it's called" pack, and whatever cable hooks it to your phone.
