Before and after, I think im getting it closer to my style. This is how my cars look when I was a kid I was going for a look originally that after doing it, it wasn't my style. If that makes sence....lol I have always been a Cragar SS and RWL tire guy. Its costing me a lot of extra money in the process.

I like everything, but the slapper bars. A set of Caltracs or home built versions of the same would do wonders...
 
Looked good before & near perfect now !
I LOVE slapper bars !
But i dont like slapper bars than hang lower that edge of wheel rim !
If you ever have a quick flat on rear guess what part hits the ground 1st ?
Yep them style trac bars you got !
If you took it to a NHRA track & was inspected they would not let you run !
I would take them off just for safety reasons ONLY !
I got a set from a member on FABO awhile back & they hang perfect !
They bolt & replace lower spring mount & had shock mounts too !
They are great BUT are black & you can not hardly see them !
FYI .. the side stripes sure help too w/ cragars !
This is the way i remembered them from back in the day !

if they are what are you going to do with old set ?

I like both wheels, but the stripe and tires are great improvements!
 
THanks--You just took me back to 1980-- LOVE THE LOOK!!!!! Cragers huh and some people hate them-- Wow that was a long time ago--My first car a Buick gs skylark with what else??? CRAGERS everyone had them--Steve
 
Nothing wrong with the old look. The red-lines are cool. BUT the stripe, Cragar S/S rims, BFG T/A's and slapper bars are totally bitchin'!!! I bought my first car in 1986. Volare RoadRunner with a 340/727 dropped in along with Cragar S/S, BFG T/A tires and slapper bars. So yeah, I'm partial to that look. :thumbup: :headbang:

That is a nice car- both sets of photos. I like the Torque Thrusts better than Cragars, love the stripe, and on and on...but that doesn't matter. Its just a cool car
 
Your car looks Awesome either way. Like the bars , stripes and larger tires. Put some polished centerlines on and it reminds me of the way mine looked at one time and hope it will again soon.
