So after deciding to "try" to fix my factory carpet, and before I break down and spend more money. I discovered this might actually work :) I started by removing the backing and laying the carpet on the concrete. With a little hot glue and some underlay from laminate flooring, I applied the hot glue to the backside of the carpet and then pressed the patch on. Hell it worked out real good.. Now I will just reglue the backing back on and see how it looks. Hope this helps some save some cash too.
