I’ll be doing these in the oven. I’m looking for ideas how to do them. What’s ur favourite sauce or seasonings. Probably do 20 at a time. Thanks Kim
I like dry a rub.....for wings that is. EDIT....1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon each Onion powder, Garlic powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt (1/2 if table salt), 1/2 pepper (white if you have it). 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Add more or less depending on how much heat you like. Taste it before you use it. Mix well. Toss wings in olive oil then add rub, toss again and bake. Toss with more rub before serving if desired. Pairs well with Beer.
I use just regular Texas pete Buffalo hot sauce . I cover them pretty well before baking then again while backing then. Douse them after they are done. Then serve with some ranch. Hard to beat imo! Your making me hungry Kim lol
My favorite! When I do home cooked, I like to do a breading, but that's for deep frying only?? Use flour mixed with some dry chicken soup base. Add dry spices as you like(garlic, montreal steak spice...whatever you like) to the powdered mixture. Put in a container with a lid and throw some wings in to shake and cover. If doing in the oven, maybe substitute bread crumbs instead of flour? Keep I'm mind carbs/sugars.
Marinade 2-3 hours fridge: 1 cup OJ, 1/2 can lager beer(drink the rest) 1 cup soy sauce few oz. tabasco or similar. Garlic/herb seasoning, plenty salt/lemon pepper Pierce a few tiny holes (large needle)between meat and bone of each wing Put in shallow pan to marinate, brush onto wings flipping over each hour. I prefer on grill moderate indirect heat, not fire. Or oven cook to your liking.
air fryers rock you can sprinkle a little bit of oil on them to crisp em up but i cook just about everything in there i got one that is big enough i can cook 2 pizzas at a time in there
Best way I have ever found. Just wash them, (I fry them but I guess an air fryer could work or oven). When they are done immediately toss them in a small amount of E.V.O.O. then put on a sheet and bury them in lemon pepper seasoning. Doesn't get any better for me.
I've used baking powder the last few times when baking. It helps give baked chicken a crispy crust. Dry the wings as much as possible before applying the rub. Cook 20 minutes, turn over, cook 20 more, then turn over and finish (about 10 more minutes). When done, toss them in your favorite sauce. I did these on Superbowl Sunday. 4 pounds chicken wings , halved at joints, wingtips discarded2 Tablespoons baking powder *aluminum free3/4 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon cracker black pepper1 teaspoon paprika1 teaspoon garlic powder
