As my wife and I are approaching our retirement years we are seriously considering selling out lot - stock and barrel and get away from these damn Indiana winters and do lots of traveling. I will make a decision in the next couple of months but both my A bodies may be on the market. The copper one is a 74 Scamp with 69 Valiant front and 71 Dart rear - 318 with the A833OD and factory A/C - power disc drum hell of a cruiser made to be on the open road the white one is a 69 Valiant freshly done with a built 400 low deck - HDK K frame - suspension - 727 - Dana 60 - 4 wheel power disc lots of new parts Texas car only had to put a floor pan in it the copper one will probably be in the 12K range and the white one 19-20K anyone interested shoot me a PM 30 K for the pair OH we are considering the St George Utah area any body from there

Do it and enjoy your golden years. After all, it's just stuff. What's more important?

think about this, how are you going to get out of Indiana if you sell the mopars?

you and the missus going to hitchhike around the country ?

I would at least hold onto the "cruiser made to be on the open road"

You know I have really enjoyed doing several Mopars over the years but this last one I could never really get into and I just got the copper one out and it just didn't have the same feeling as before so looks probable

Yes considering that also because there are lots of open roads out west

like he said, LOTS of open road out there!!!! I've been thru Utah once. looks like a place I could like to live. not sure the Mormans would let me in though!????

if I could afford it, I would love to just travel around in an RV, with a trailer behind, and buy me a mopar toy when I find a suitable toy!!

and yes I could see getting away from those Eastern winters!!! good luck!!

Well whatever you decide, stick around here. Keep us updated on your travels. Lotsa pitchers. lol

No No No. If the cars aren't costing you anything then bring them with you. Especially to St George. You are 100 miles to Mopars at the Strip. Plus St George is a great place to live. Don't do it. You will regret it. Retiring doesn't mean giving up your hobbies. Please don't. Mopars + St George? I can't think of a better retirement. What ever you decide I know the best years are ahead of you. And once you get there the cars will look different and will bring a whole new joy to your life. I know this. Plus the van can be your Four Corners National Park camping vehicle.

Lots of Mopars in St.George. I too have thoughts of moving there. I moved west 20 years ago from Southern PA.Been semi-retired for a while now. If you can keep the cars,if not you will just find something out here and start all over again.Wish you all the best what ever you do !!

When I retired in 2009 Wife and I sold out lock stock and barrel and bought a Ram 3500 and a 40 foot fifth wheel and criss/ crossed the USA twice in a little over 17 months. Finally settled here in Arizona and do not regret one bit what we did. Many, many fond memories during our travels.

if a person wanted to relocate,.... and retired or close, to me that would be the perfect situation. especially if you never have seen the USA. I've seen about 70 % of it and would love to see more! ( a new truck is not on my plate though!)

to travel in an RV, be able to go where you want, spend as much time there looking and seeing the "natives", would be great! one thing I have figured out decades ago, to see the "real" world out there, ya got to get off the interstate and travel the back country!

Hey dodge71demon, St. George is a beautiful area that both my wife and I love as well. As others have said, I strongly urge you not to completely sell out.
There's a strong enthusiast presence in the area with a great car show the Saturday of Easter weekend in Hurricane, UT (http://eastercarshow.com/) that draws between 8-10K spectators.
I can't imagine anything much better than cruising in my Mopar to any of the 5 National Parks within easy driving distance of St. George: Zion, Bryce, north rim of the Grand Canyon, Arches, and Canyonlands. Great climate and beautiful scenery.
We've never met, but we're coming to visit! LOL

And you're only 100 miles to Mopars At The Strip in Las Vegas.

Another vote for keeping the white car and using it as a cruiser. That area of Utah is amazing and you will never run out of places to visit. I am in favor of traveling also.

Quite a bit of my wife's family is from St. George. I really like it down there.

The copper car will probably go on the market this weekend. We've decided to sell off all my Mopar related stuff and see where we go from there more coming later

Great timing.....grab the spring market

Good luck my friend.....hope our paths cross again.

Take a trip, one more season of ownership, in the car off your choosing.

Then make your decision to sell.

If you sell out, then you loose the contest...

He who dies with the most cars wins....

If you don't have any when you die, then you don't qualify....

Where in Indiana are you located? We have big car show in the end of June and I'd love to see some more mopars show up, especially A bodies...

Good show in Mooreland, IN the 15th of August. Good Indiana car show, not too far from the old Chrysler plant so there are usually a couple of nice mopes.
