Never been a big fan of Rat Rods. Most are way over done on the items used to " Build it " On the other hand a replica car of the 50's I appreciate.

That’s what I love about this hobby, there are so many different directions you can go when building a car. None of them necessarily wrong just different. For example: low riders, definitely not a fan, but I can appreciate the work and effort put into them from all the engineering to the extreme paint. This hobby can suit everyone’s particular taste.
This rat bike showed up at a bar.Turbo diesel from thermo king unit ( or similar ) . Guy said he paid $80 G for it.

I for one love to see these at car shows.
Each part is a conversation piece and most people go to a car show to see cool cars and maybe something they haven't seen before and the Rat Rod generally brings that haven't seen before...

When I had my ratrods I would take em and park right next to the Corvette guys and walk away and take pics of all the people looking at mine and no one looking at the vettes. And send the pics to my Chevy buddy.

This is the coolest rat rod in my area. It's a 31 Ford with a light duty diesel engine. The interior is just incredible with the detail. The door panels and floor are a poured clear resin. They owner wears the helmet while driving and his wife wears the goggles.

Not a big fan of ratrods anyway, for the time and $ , they could have made them nice --------
I never get down on any build, but.... maybe rats rods are the art work of the mentally deranged!??? lol

I admit I would love to build a 40's or 50's car, not really a rat rod but some sorta "rod"! I am 71, still with project cars, but I need a 50 something before I run out of time!!!
Where or which car has exhaust towards the front?

Well they're not my gig either but I just have to admire the engineering behind some of them. 2 engines in one vehicle is always cool.

Saw a Yellow one like that in Colorado one time pulling a 30 foot fifth wheel while Rving but unfortunately it was all hooked up to a large wrecker.
