This guy I bought my Jeep from this is how he repairs front end parts
Looks like he couldn’t get nut off bell crank which steers vehicle so he cut it
Instead of getting proper part he tack welded it using a **** mig weld
If that failed God forbid
I could never see it until I pulled the radiator and there it was

Man, you got to be careful when buying something used, you never know what could be hacked up. Lord knows there are more hacks and scammers out there than we realize.

i think somewhere on the net you could find "GUIDO and LeROY'S" phone number and have them pay him a visit. you know they are OSHA INSPECTORS now i think.

I was impressed with the seller
A US Army officer
A real gentleman serving our country
What I think is he just didn’t understand what he was doing
As I tore into this Jeep i found many shabby repairs
Mistake after mistake but I accepted that as him not knowing
What he did and he absolutely did this was dangerous and irresponsible
Hopefully he will leave repairs to the more knowledgeable

I recently posted something pretty similar to this. It still amazes me what people do to vehicles and probably think they are quite handy!

In another world id wish I was his friend/neighbour and I could help/teach him.
He is a career military man, married with two young children.
He has been redeployed twice and im sure will be again
I got annoyed when I saw this "repair" but im sure he didnt mean to intentionally cause any harm.
What he did not realise that loosing steering in this Jeep even though it rarely see's over 30MPH could easily involve a fatality.

The part is not a bolt as i thought but a machined shaft with bushings. The end appears to be turned down and threaded with a castle nut/ cotter pin
He must have snapped the threaded part off and just tacked it to the mounting bracket

So could you tell/show the man the error of his ways, so he doesn't continue to make these types of repairs on other vehicles that he ends up selling. The fatality in a wreck could be him or someone in his family you'd be doing him a huge favor actually.
