Dash Pad Repair?

Anyone ever tried to repair these type of cracks instead of buying the chincy plastic caps?

I didn't mind the plastic caps when they were $100 with free shipping on ebay but most of them now are over $200

Thinking about trying one of those vinyl/seat repair kits with the filler type material.

A professional interior repair guy (Dr. Vinyl around here) could fix those cracks but it would cost more than the plastic cap. I've been running a cap for 15 years and haven't had one person comment about it.

The average person would never know the difference. Im just not a plastic fan to begin with
