    I’m repainting the dash Vin plate ( scratches ) And I’m trying to decide if it should be satin or gloss black?

    Seems to be satin. Wouldn’t want something reflecting in the glass.

          I'm thinking more semi gloss than satin? If you're going to use one of the repro VIN tag decals ECS sells, contact them before you paint it. I think they sell a kit with rosette rivets and the decal.

          The reason I was thinking semi gloss, is that most satin finish paint I have seen leaves a finish that isn't completely smooth. I have doubts that the decal would stick properly on the satin paint. Just a thought....and I might be completely wrong, lol. :realcrazy:

          You are right about that but it's a dry transfer-not a water slide decal.
