I found a tranny on CL. The seller doesn't know if it's a 4 speed or OD unit. It has a cast iron body. Anyone help me ID it? TIA

Can you get a clear photo of this entire pad so the numbers & letters are legible?

count the splines on the output, standard 4 speeds are 30, o.d. are 27
O/D can come either 30 or 26 spline output shafts. The best way is to count revolution in "3rd" gear. The best clue is the 5+ inch front bearing retainer.

A dead give away for an O/D is a raised rib that runs in between the shift levers on the side cover.

That looks like the large bearing retainer, but the angle makes it really hard to tell.

That side cover is just the 71 up interlock side cover.
