Hey I just got my broadcast sheet for my car and was wondering if you guys could help me decode some of it?

I can try and get some better pics but its really delicate and I don't wanna handle it to much... How can I tell if its a special order car? There is a 7 on the "sold to spec for" and I don't know what that means? Axle 019? I was informed by Joel that the first five lines on the broadcast sheet are the last digits of part numbers for the pieces used and I don't have access to those numbers and was wondering if anyone does?

I have had luck steaming them. I lay it on a flat screen type strainer about a foot over boiling water to add moisture to the paper. It helps get them to lay flatter without tearing.
The first line is ID information then 2nd through 6 is last 2 of part number.

next go here - download and copy over what you can to preserve yours.

Thanks!! I'll definitly add all my codes to that sheet.. I don't know if I wanna try steaming them, haha. They are so delicate they almost crumble when you touch them. These were found in the back footwell area and were appearently soaked when they were taken out a few years back. I just carefully unfolded one of them and the lower part is all readable...

I scanned my broadcast sheet and printed out a copy. Not only does it keep me from handling the original but the scanner actually made it easier to read due to a better contrast produced by the scanner light.

Is that the only sheet you have? Some cars had 2 or 3 of them, try looking under the dash, I found one taped to the inside of the glove box liner on my 66 Valiant, some cars even had them under the carpet and in some strange places

I searched all over inside the car, the last place to look is between the gas tank and trunk pan but I highly doubt one will be there and if it is, it will most likely be worse then these. There are 3 build sheets total.. 2 with the quality control papers. The third one is very fragile and i dont know if i wanna seperate it completely. no need to since i seem to have a complete one between the two. I thought I'd never have this documentation. (Thanks to one of the previous owners hanging on to these)

Randy, this is the best I can do with information you gave. The broadcast sheet is different likely because this is a Canadian built car for Canada

Thank you so much!! :prayer:

How did you fill out the broadcast sheet? I suck at computers, haha

Here are the codes you had question marks beside.. If you have trouble with reading any let me know and I can check them and give you the code. There's also an anti freeze code for -35 (which is pretty much 8 months of the year) and another code 62 as seen below. I also got the stripe code.

Thank you for all of the information on this Rocky_JS I could use a little help with my Broadcast sheet too. Mine is just as bad, maybe worse. I was able to gather quite a bit of information from this, as mine has a lot of the same options. My car is a 1970 340 Swinger, with automatic, split bench and A/C .
I tried to leave you a message, but your inbox is full.
I hope you, or someone else here can help out.
I can forward a picture of my broadcast sheet, or post it in a new thread.
Thanks again.
Kevin.
