So, I assume wrong location as well? Cap will be painted at a later time with other black components I am putting together.
looks real close. Its on the correct side. They were never perfect.. The handle gets painted. I have a couple caps I 'll get pictures of. They would put the cap on tape across the top of the stripe and paint from that tape down . But the whole handle is black or white. Only from the handel up is body

The side stripes, tail stripe and hood treatment are actually painted. I wanted the blacks throughout the entire car car to be the same.
