Thought it was time to look into options, tired of bumping idle up at every light to keep my fuel pump happy. I’ve been running a Holley blue pump and an auxiliary puller fan, car was just not happy at lower engine speeds. I have plans for a 6AL and timing control and possibly a different fuel pump. I’ve poked around enough to see that the Toyota denso alternator was a solid option. This unit is from a 91 4Runner with a 2.4.
I did have to remake the top spacer, and use a spacer on the bottom bracket. A denso factory alt plug and a shorter belt rounded the part list out.

I run Denso on my race cars that run Alternators AND
all my Street/Strip cars. Easy Fab. to do!

Aside from maybe wanting to keep the look of the old Chrysler alternator I wouldn’t run anything else but one of these internally regulated versions, along with a Dakota starter and as strong a battery as you can afford. Really transforms the old Mopar:thumbsup:
