I'm gonna start restoring the grille for my 1970 Swinger and i've been going back and forth on doing it the 1970 or 1971 style and i've decided to go with the proper 1970 style, which i know is alot harder to paint but i have alot of patience. I've already got the proper PPG acrylic enamel grille silver, semi gloss black trim paint and i'm in the process of glass bead blasting the grille to completely strip all the half *** paint jobs it got over the years, but i don't have any reference pics of where all the black details go since both of my grilles that i have are the 71 style.

Can somebody please get me some close up pics of there grille? especially in between the fins. I tried searching already but haven't found any good close up shots.

Thanks!

Found this reference.. i just need the grille assembly and headlight doors. I predict I've got days of masking ahead of me! Now i see why so many 70 swinger grilles are done in the 71 paint scheme, haha

Here are a few I have.

That grille looks awesome! How much did that set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Well it looks like I've got some repairs to do... I thought the grille that was in the trunk was perfect but after closer inspection it's busted below the headlight door on the drivers side, :(. Luckily I have a junk grille (the one that was on the car) that I can chop up and make one nice one! I already picked up some epoxy and ill be bead blasting the main grille this week and cutting the broken piece square and grafting in a piece. I need to make the mounting tabs too. I plan on making this repair invisible and ill post up the progress on my resto thread.
