For what it's worth, it's not a micrometer, its a digital (dial) caliper

Yep,... That's a caliper, not a micrometer. I like it that it also will tell fractional inches for quick reference. That could be handy. Curious how tight the resolution is for fractional readings are? For instance, does it have to be right at .375 to read 3/8" or right at .500 to read 1/2"? Does it read fractions down to 1/16" or 1/32"?

Pretty handy for $12 that you can throw in the toolbox!
