Distributor question

The distributoir I was planning on using on my 440 came out of a 77 New Yorker. My problem is that it has 2 plugs coming out of it and I'm not sure what the second one is for. The second plug has 3 wires going to it. Can I still run this distributor without pluging this plug in? Or should I just go ahead and upgrade. Open to suggestions.

sounds like a lean burn dist...it has no vacuum advance, right?

correct. Now that you mention it the air cleaner said lean burn system right on it.

that dist will have no advance...if you put it in at 36 degrees, thats where it will stay...good for race...
