Do you use the air conditioning in your classic car or truck. I have it in two of my classics and used it once or twice all summer and that's only because the wife was ridding along I prefer to have the windows down if you use it quite often what's your age

switching over to a 5.9 magnum with LA timing cover etc just got the Ellerbeck air gap intake looks like the thermostat housing location may interfere with the Sanden compressor just thinking ahead if it will be worth relocating It for resale if the time ever comes or taking it out

I never do unless the wife is in the passenger seat. I haven't driven my Cuda yet.. it's an A/C car but it will never have A/C. My window is always wide open if I'm by myself, middle of Wisconsin winter or not.

I'm 44 and my AC is on most of the time in my duster. Especially on the highway!

Yes, installed a Classic Auto Air system in my Dart 3 years ago.

Use it all the time. 49 years old next week.

Tinted the windows with a clearish UV film (Solargard UP80) and insulated the floor that really helped keep the car cool in stop and go traffic with the A/C on.

              Yes, I do...

The newest member (Demon) in my stable was bought because it had an A/C - then in the trunk, but now working fine.
              Btw:
Its an A/C by YORK; this device was common in Swiss made A-Bodies.

Driving with open windows is ok and I like it, but when you're stuck in a traffic jam, I'm glad to have A/C.

I also love to have windows open, but...

At any speed over 40, the wind is a bit much and my hair becomes tangled and unruly, plus...

In FL we have 98 plus degrees and 98 plus humidity percentages for the better part of the year.

It's a big plus to have working AC in a 45 year old car.

I'm 51 and the last classic I had with working AC was my 73 Duster in the 90's.
It wasn't great and I didn't run it a lot but was better than not having it, especially in the rain.

Not quite 40*, but we'll call it 47* and be happy to have that on those over 100 degree and 98% humidity days.

While we're at it, I'm having a bit of a problem with condensation on my evaporator cover.
It's getting good and wet and dripping off into the carpet, sometimes making a puddle.

                Any remedies?

Use the heck out of it in my daily non-mopar driver.
Plan on adding A/C to the dart soon. Currently I drive my Dart mostly in the spring and fall. Once summer temps start getting above 80 or 85 I won't drive it, except maybe late in the evening. Just too dang hot, and once it's in the 90's then even with the windows down and the vents open I feel like in in some kind of convection oven or something.
I'm 59, but some days feel like 79.

I won't even consider buying an old Mopar unless it has factory air. My 71 Polara in my avatar has R12, I've driven it 10,000 miles the last few years. Went on our Tour Nebraska this summer, 950 miles. Then my 67 Dart has all the original AC with R12, ice cold. Then my 69 R/T doesn't have air- only drove it once this summer. Back when we were younger. beer used to keep us cool, but that doesn't work any more.
I do quite a bit of driving on the interstate at 75-80 mph. When I have the windows down, it just beats the hell out of me.

Southern Arizona, hell yea I want it and use it! Rather go to the dentist then run down the highway for hours at a time to get somewhere at 75MPH with 115 degree air pounding me. 56.
