I'd like to find a forum where other early Dodge van fans might be. I own an A108 and want to chat.....any input? I Goggled it but didn't find much.

NICE! What year is your A-108?

I'd love to find one of them, myself! BUT, thats a long shot where I live so....Not much for Mopar 'round here, just a couple of us.....

I owned 6 Dodge vans. Five of which were purchased new. All were excellent vehicles.

The best of the bunch were, by far, my 1969 A108 and my 1976 B200/ 127" WB. Both were 318's and both were pure fun.

I have a dream to get a dodge A-100 van and bolt tool boxes in it and make a mobile auto repair business.

For on the go stuff like jump starts, tire fixes, and minor keep you on the road stuff.....with student discounts at the college near me. (they will tell their friends)

This idea will probably never come to be since I cant do it by myself and no one is around to help me but if I did something like that now I have my coronet wagon to get started but a van like that would be the way to go.

A classy statement to run a business with a nicely maintained classic vehicle as your trademark. IMO :thumleft::thumleft:

Vans make excellent work vehicles. Tools and supplies are kept, dry and secure. I do have one recommendation for you, though.

If you want to do an A van, I suggest you look for an A108. It allows you about an extra 15" of space between the back of the passenger seat, and the hinge edge of the side door. That allows you to put a small shelf or cabinet there, without it interfering with the access through the side cargo door.

The A100 actually has part of the passenger seat protruding into the side cargo door opening. When you're looking to maximize efficiency that little bit of space, plus the A108's longer wheel base and resulting longer bed ( at about the same cost of operation) makes for better efficiency and more room.

Just something to consider.
