On the drip rails for a duster is there supposed to be a seal between the chrome and the rail on the body?

My worst body job ever guy missed all the cracks in my sealer there, yes there should be a nice smooth seam sealer there.

If you're replacing it, Lord Fusor #129 will do the trick. A two part sealer that's too thin will end up on the ground. The thinner stuff (like honey) will work well if you're just repairing cracks.

So.. are you guys talking behind the trim itself... like a sealant to stick the trim on with ? I think thats what he is asking.. I dont know for sure either as I have never had to deal with it. He is buying the trim off me that I never used. We were just wondering. Thanks

Haha you guys were talking about the seal that is cracking on my rail i believe, That is one reason i am getting the chrome, to distract the eye off of any little cracks that are beginning to form... thanks guys..

Do it right. This process done correctly is applied when body work and primer is sprayed. It comes in a tube like a caulking gun. Place a bead in that recessed chanel then smooth it with your finger. Then apply your paint as it does need to be body color unless your going over it with a vinyl top then it wouldn't hurt for it to be at least sealed. After all of this you then can install your trim. No big deal......by the way.....let it dry.
