I am needing a decent car cover for my Duster. have any of you guys found one to be a decent one without costing an arm and a leg. Car will is garaged kept but may have to be outside while work on the Dart Sport is going on. Thanks
On the same subject, can anybody recommend a good Water Proof cover for a Duster?
Mine spends alot of time inside, but i'm also forced to park it outside on occasion, and with the big ole hole in the hood for the Roots 6-71 Blower, I'd like to keep water off my engine & fuel system (wouldn't hurt to keep water off the whole car though)
I've found the California Car Covers to work very well, but they are a bit pricey. I bought a cover at a swap meet about a year ago that fits my Demon like a glove. It stays on in the wind with no strap run under the car, it has no marking on it so I can't tell you who made it. There are some decent looking ones on Ebay that look to be as good as the quality of the CCC covers. I hope this helps you.
74Dusted, CCC will make a custom cover for yours with the blower. I had a friend who had one made for his Blown GTX a few years back and he loved it. Look them up and contact them if you are lucky Jimmy DeFrank may answer the phone, he owns the place and is a big sportsman racer.
I bought a covercraft cover for my car at jegs for around 200 bucks, fits nice keeps the water off in the rain and is fairly soft, not a fulltime outdoor cover but works well for indoor/outdoor use.I Have a nice indoor cover for my wifes challenger that we use for storing over the winter, very soft and thick but no good outside, also some of the outdoor covers that are fully waterproof are more like a tarp (not very thick or soft material).
I picked up a $30 car cover at Costco that fits the Duster. It is water resistant but not water proof. Moisture will seep through in the rain. So I bought some plastic tarps at Costco and they go on top of the soft cover when it rains. This combo keeps the car dry and cost me a total of $50. This way I can replace either layer as needed.
