Has anyone installed the metal inner door & rear side window trim pieces from a 72 & earlier Duster on a 73 & later Duster with the plastic trim? Can it be done without major modifications to the car? The plastic trim I have on the car is good but the inner window sweeps are a one-time press on set-up on the 73 & later Duster & new ones are not re-produced only a different type, so, if I use THEM, I have to securely attach the ones available in some manner. DMT says, screw or glue them in place. The sweeps on a 72 & earlier car attach the easier way. Should I just attach the new ones on the plastic pieces with the proper kind of fasteners that won't interfere with the glass going up & down? If I use glue, what is a good strong glue to use for this?
