Early "A" Bodies Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder?

Just wondering, can the lock cylinder in the ignition switch cause any electrical issues? Thanks

No. The mechanical function of the lock cylinder is separate from the electrical function. If you are having electrical issues with your switch, the lock cylinder is not the problem. You can replace the ignition switch (the electrical part) and re-use, switch over, your old lock cylinder to the new switch.
