early Rallye center cap inserts

I have recently received a set of decent 70/71 SB rallyes with ok center caps. Three out of the four have some deep scratches in the center of the caps.
I found these inserts advertised.

Anyone have experience with this?
Do these "pop" out? and what's the best way to do it? or is this some kind of cheap stick on trick.

They are adhesive backed, peel and stick. I bought and installed the black ones with plymouth script in chrome many years ago. Still on when I sold that car. I can't say how long.
I just remembered having to get a razor blade under the edge of what I think were original stickers and peel them off first. Thin aluminum stickers if my memory serves.
