looking at an Edelbrock manifold stamped 318/360 will this fit a 1966 273? i know the 273 and 318 manifolds inter change 1966 and up. just trying to figure this out. I need a little help I am afraid the 318/360 ports are a little bigger than i need.

those came stock with 318 ports. see if there are grind marks to make them closer to 360. It will bolt on. Good intake for a 318.

Yes it will fit and work fine. If there is any difference in port size don't worry about it. Your 66 273 will never know the difference but it will like the 4 barrel.

Didn't 273's have vertical mounting bolts like a Hemi? Look at your existing engine manifold and compare mount bolt holes. The 318 & 360 had angled bolt holes.

According to Chrysler 64 & 65 had the vertical mounting bolts. I knew some 273's had it that way but didn't know it was changed for 66.

Please, show me a picture of this. (LMAO!)
64/65 - 273 with vertical mounting intake bolts like a HEMI.
I just sold a Edelbrock dual plane dual quad for these 64/65 273’s.

In the Mopar Small block book, P4876826, on page 127 in the head section Introduction paragraph 3 it says 64-65 heads had bolt holes drilled at a different angle. No pictures though.

64 and 65 does. 66 and newer is like all LA small blocks

What a fricking train wreck. I think I will PM the OP and set him straight. LOL You know and I know but there are some that don't and shouldn't comment.

They are not vertical like a magnum. They are a little more vertical than a 318 but not much. You can mod a performer to fit a 65 odd angle head with a 5/16 drill , just lean it over in the 3/8 hole to match the 65 5/16 bolt angle.

Then I’ll post one below....

No it does not....

Look below, you can see some of the OE mount lads still semi intact. THIS IS A 64/65 - 273 INTAKE!
[SOLD] - Modified D64 to D66

You know what is going on!

That’s it, I’m going back working on my POS cylinder head!
I need a cookie.....

Semantics. No the bolt holes are not vertical but not at a 90° to the intake surface like 66 and newer. I will correct my post by clarifying my answer.

The main issue is that someone above asked if the 66 intake has vertical bolt holes. No it does not. But neither does the 64 and 65 intakes. Their bolt hole angle is closer to vertical than the 66 and newer LA engine bolts which are 90° to the intake surface. The two will not bolt up without modifications.

I posted a pic of the bolt angle in an older thread. If the common 318 LA is about 45 degrees from vert and the magnum is 0 degrees from vert, the 5/16 64-65 head is about 30 degrees.
