Is it possible to mount an Edelbrock AVS or performer carb on a cast iron spreadbore intake? Will one bolt on witb a thick mounting flange gasket? Just curious if it would work or not.

I’ve done this before. Over 20 years ago. I don’t remember the particulars of it but I didn’t have a problem with the carb right to the intake leaking.

All you need is Edelbrock #2732. You don't need any of those stupid 1" thick aluminum spacers that always leak.

This one: Edelbrock Carburetor Adapters 2732

Looks like they don't have them in stock. O'Reilly stocks them. Your local O'Reilly should have one hangin on the wall.

I didn’t use that on my OE ‘79, 360 intake.

Thank you fellas! I suspected ot might work and i already have a few of those plates.
Thanks, Paul

When i set my eddy on the cast 340 intake i got,i tried it with no gasket. Looks like it will work fine with the plate.
