Good morning everyone, I’m looking at a some Edelbrock 6077 RPM heads being sold locally as brand new never installed. However, they have provisions for shaft mounted rockers, as opposed to stud mounted rockers, are fully assembled and have 6076 stamped on the heads. The brand new RPM 6076 heads that I can find show stud mounted rockers and are bare. Are these possibly older heads that have been reworked? Anyone thoughts on what these really are?

Just get a picture of the heads. All versions of Edelbrock small block Mopar LA RPM heads have provisions for factory shaft rockers. All versions of Edelbrock Magnum heads have stud mounted rocker arms. The casting number on the head itself does not always match the part number of the finished head you purchase.

To add to the above;
Sites like summit, jegs, etc. may use a picture in an add that is not of the actual part being sold, but more “representative” of said part.

As Bobzilla stated, all LA Ede heads are set up for shaft rockers.
Magnum heads are set up with studs.

They are not the same casting.

LA heads have the first 2 digits of the part number as “60”.
Magnum heads have the first 2 digits as “61”.

Thank you everyone for the inputs! Hopefully, I can snap these up before anybody else does. Just waiting for the owner to call me back. I’ll let everyone know if I managed to pick them up. Thanks again.

Update, score! Picked these up yesterday off of Facebook marketplace for under half of retail price. New, never bolted on with springs for a hydraulic roller.
