This is a long shot I know, but I am looking for the lid for a STR-12 small block cross ram intake. I was thinking of getting one cnc milled, but shops around here are a little high. Anyone have any ideas, shoot me a PM. Thanks!!

I think you could have one laser or water cut out of .25" Alum. much cheaper than CNC machining.

Yes, you are right about that. But the reason I wanted to cnc, is so they can start with a 1 inch or 3/4 inch peice. Then its milled away on the inside, except for the flange, and that keeps the plenum volume correct. However, less plenum volume could be good...........

Years ago I made one from 1/4" flat stock. For carb mounts I used two carb spacers that were angled - Moroso's IIRC. Many of those STR type manifolds lost their tops due to backfires in that huge plenum. I'd add some type of blow off valve or burst plate, and always remember to NEVER pump the gas before turning the motor over - always get the crank spinning, THEN pump the gas.
