EFI big block in Hot Rod

An article I did for Hot Rod: Adding Holley’s Universal Coil-Near-Plug Ignition System to a Big-Block Mopar - Hot Rod Network

This was a 514 inch big block that made around 900 hp depending on which parts we were testing. This was the final test I ran with that engine. Engine was sold earlier this year and the new owner is going with a carb and a wet sump for his bracket car.

There are lots of reasons to get rid of the mechanical distributor other than power increase which is why it is hard to find a distributor on a new car. There wasn't a power difference on this particular engine but there would be a difference on a boosted engine.

Great stuff Andy But I wish HotRod would change their website format to something a guy can actually deal with. There's so much bullshit on the sides of the page it makes articles difficult to read and enjoy.
