Here is a post I took from a S-10 forum. Some very interesting numbers.

Here is a post that i lifted off a Chrysler minivan site so i do not know how accurate these numbers are but i figure they might help us all..

First off they were ALL tested at Battery voltage (12.5v)
first and then with my truck running with a 30ft 4 gauge wire from my battery 14.5v

Not the exact numbers they fluctuate from 150 to 250 cfm this is an average

Battery operated

LS1 FAN SHROUD
1 fan turned on - 4800 cfm
2 fans on - 9500cfm

LT1 FAN SHROUD
1 fan turned on - 5000 cfm
2 fans on - 8700 cfm

1999 Dodge Stratus (both fans are always on - 2 speed)
Slow speed - 3700 cfm
High Speed 9000 cfm

1996 Ford Taurus (1 fan two speed)
Slow speed - 2800 CFM
High speed - 5600 CFM

Alternator Powered

LS1 FAN SHROUD
1 fan turned on - 5100 cfm
2 fans on - 10500cfm

LT1 FAN SHROUD
1 fan turned on - 5200 cfm
2 fans on - 9500 cfm

1999 Dodge Stratus (both fans are always on - 2 speed)
Slow speed - 4200 cfm
High Speed 10400 cfm

1996 Ford Taurus (1 fan two speed)
Slow speed - 3200 CFM
High speed - 6000 CFM

Those are some crazy numbers. Any info on how many amps these fans draw?

The only one I have been looking at is the Intrepid setup. The numbers I have been reading most often on it are as follows.

24 amps on start up 20 running (HI)
14 amps on start up 10 running (low)

Really!? That is not bad at all. I have been some searching on the Volvo/Ford Taurus fan and it pulls 4000cfm but also draws like 75 amps.

Do you know what the dimensions are on the intrepid setup?

impossible for the fan to pull that much. If it did indeed pull 75 amps you would have to install a crazy alternator. The largest fuse that have seen in a fuse block on Volvo's is a 50amp, not counting the 120amp fuse block protection fuse.

The rear steer GMC's don't even require that much power. Have you seen the size of the motor on there?

I don't have the exact numbers with me right now. They are home. I have the 26 inch a-body radiator and the Intrepid fan shroud is almost exactly as wide and about an inch shorter than the open area of my radiator. I am going to have to make a few modifications to use the Intrepid fans but it should work for me.

Interesting stuff Jack, thanks. Looks like them LS1 fans move some air.

Super cheap huge air amp draw isnt bad and with a little trimming fits a 26" radiator well. Running mine with a Hayden controller pretty plug and play really.
