Electric radiator fans

I have never noticed a rating but they are just an electric motor.

I just don't know if all electric fans are treated equal regarding duty cycle if needed to run for long periods.

I looked into Spal fans. For the price theyre asking I wish I knew they'd include the duty cycle next to the color of plastic, amps, volts, width, and thickness, in the specifications.

Seems important, kinda.

They are probably the best brand. You may have to contact them.

Here's a good question then, brushed or brushless?

If it eats another 5 amps but will outlast the other, win.

If you are bound and determined to use electric fans, look at the Black Magic fans By Flex a Lite. They ain't cheap, but they MOVE some air.

The best place for elec fans is....in the box they come in.

i know. i know. it's been belt drive for 60 years. I do not want to do it either as it was fine the way it was, but the need to fabricate something to get driven off the crankshaft in the front, now the fan blades swing down in the way.

a jackshaft or move the radiator up 8 inches. and that's annoyingly restricting me to 24" tall, and the frame is 24" wide.

Today it needs to go eletric. Which is double annoying, because now i need to fix the charging problem. the past 20 years we have been keeping 3 batteries in it and just running the coil and parking it on the charger overnight. And I guess now 20 years later that bullshit seems standard.

the past 5 years ive just hot glued a solar charger/maintainer on the top of the cab. Worked great. use lots of hotglue on all the connections for water.

but now i need to probably smoke 60 amps nonstop while working this poor machine to death, again apparently.
