Electrical gurus.... need help with alternator hookup

3 questions...

I have completely rewired my car from scratch,, on the voltage regulator hook up, I am planning on hooking the ign "on" switch to the blue wire going to the regulator as the excitor..... is this correct??


Secondly I have a later mopar 100 amp alternator I am thinking I Might install. will the 60 amp regulator work with the 100 amp alt or do I need a different regulator?

On the hook up at the back of the alternator which regulator wire goes where? blue / green
 
Yes, IGN "run" goes to both the regulator "I" terminal and to one field connection. Does not matter which. It is important that "switched ignition" has now drop, IE very close to battery voltage, as this is also the regulator sense line

Same regulator will work with the 100A. I don't recommend you run a 100A with the factory bulkhead, IE do the ammeter bypass "Fleet" (police and taxies, etc) had modified wiring that went around the bulkhead connector
