In the middle of rebuilding the steering column in my 1972 Duster and was considering eliminating the steering wheel lock. Should I eliminate the steering wheel lock?

My 67 dart can be driven away with 2 jumper wires.

With a steering wheel lock it will take a few seconds longer.

Yeah, disable it.
Where exactly do you park it?

IMO, it is archaic and not much of a theft deterrent. Hide a power cut off if you want something that would likely do a more efficient job. your call.

Was it somehow offending you? If it bothers you, leave it off. I would not.

When I rebuilt my column, I left it out. If someone really likes your car better than you their going to get it pretty much no matter what you do to protect it and think of that extra weight loss, like adding 50 HP

If you are asking me, I'm pretty sure I put all the parts in a bag, but it's all stored at my son's home and I don't know when I'll be able to get there. You can have them. It might be a few weeks or so.
