Engine Diaper on A body

Looking for an Engine Diaper for a 1970 Dart small block factory engine mounts Husler headers. Anyone have a brand preference that might work.

My local track keystone sells ours to us. I think the brand name is Hussler but I’m not positive. I buy the Kevlar one because it’s so close the my Hedman headers that cheap ones would burn up. We lost our power till I guess 11pm tomorrow night but after a morning funeral I will try to grab a flashlight and check to see if the name is on a new one I have in the shop. It’s nice and thin. You can see it in these pictures.

Ok I was way wrong. Greg our track manager sells J&J engine diapers. This is the link to the company but on the bottom you will see a note recommending using a Kevlar diaper if it’s near headers. You may have to call to get that option. If you Google search this company you will get more info. You can see from my pictures how thin they are and they hold up great. I buy extra absorbable clothes from summit and Amazon so I can change them out.

Russ is my “go to”. Luckily he’s close to me and he’s done three different diapers for me. I’ve also referred a bunch of people to him and there’s been nothing but praise.

Try fitting one on a gen3 hemi stuffed in a Duster. TTI headers hug the block pretty well, so I use the cheap generic ones from Summit. I actually have to cross over the back two straps and attach them to transmission bolts to get it to clear everything, and I still get a little header melting every time I have to move it.

I’m betting the one I showed above would work for you. My sons car with 1 7/8 headmen headers and stock suspension is very tight. They can lay right on the headers and are very thin.
