OK, I want to get this intake off and bring it to the sandblast man but guess what...... Yep he is closed.. so I hit it with a wire brush on my drill, but it barely got any of this crap paint off, also I could see it's not going to work with all the crevasse. I will be pulling it but what to use to get the paint off. Brackets are a mess too.

It looks like it’s cast iron so you can use easy off oven cleaner on it and it will remove the paint. Make sure you rinse thoroughly and maybe even make some baking soda in the water that you using to rinse it with. Do not use easy off oven cleaner on aluminum as it will eat into the aluminum.
