One of my front running/blinker lights wasn't working on our 1964 Barracuda. Was going to check the bulb but it ended up being rusted in the socket. Had to bust the bulb and use a pair of pliers to twist the base out. Ended up looking like chewing gum by the time if fell out, but I digress.

Went to buy a yellow 1034 incandescent replacement bulb and I can't find them. All the local places, O'Reilly's, AutoZone & Advanced only carry clear bulbs. I can't even seem to find one on Amazon. Anything yellow is LED. Am I missing something. Is a yellow 1034 a different number or something?

Thanks. That pulls up a slime tire plug kit. I'll call them and double check since sometimes they carry in store stuff that's not listed on the website.

NA is for coloured glass. 1157NA is typical. Natural amber.
I paint as needed…

And these are PAINTED
I decided to replace my bulbs in the front a few years ago, the only bulb that did not come out in one piece was probably an original or a OLD replacement. It was GE and a painted bulb. Felt so bad breaking it.

Yup, the original ones were painted bulbs. I've painted a few clear 1034's to replicate the original bulbs. The amber glass ones are easier if you're not resto-anal. My understanding is that the 1157 versions have higher output and associated heat. That can melt lenses in some applications if the bulb sits close to the lens.

GE was one of the original supliers.
Yes they were painted.
1157 draws different more current and therefore changes the blink rate.
If you can get some new old stock 1134A, thats the best.

Yep if you need a bunch a box like that off of e-bay or similar is a way to get 'em.
That box is far newer than 1967 - seller has his facts a little off but the bulbs are right.

from the specs at Don's Bulbs website, which used to be a great place to get older bulbs new.
1134 power draws are nominally rated 23 Watts and 8.26 Watts
1157 power draws are nominally rated 27 Watts and 8.00 Watts

I'm not too concerned about the heat. I haven't done the modification to the headlight switch to keep the park lights on with the headlights, and I rarely run just park lights. I pulled the other side and it actually had a 2357A installed.
