Exhaust fumzes

Hi guys I have no exhaust leaks.new headers, duels all the way back with tail pipes.But we go cruiseing and smell exhaust in the car.Question haveing no door yet could exhaust somehow be geting that way.PS no holes in floors or trunk solid car.

Sound like it is coming in thru the trunk / tail light seals. If you can find someone to put in the trunk then close it, look for light coming thru.

If you are married I doubt the wife will fall for it.

Could just be new hedder smell,mine smelled for a couple days.

I had the same problem, or simlar- the car stunk of exhaust.
Replaced gaskets, helped out, replaced the rear trunk seal, helped out, still the car stunk though.
Changed to high octane gas- problem solved.

Running rich? That'll do it forsure! Especially at idle...

I had that problem too. Any garment stored in the trunk smelled like exhaust fumes. It was worse when the windows were open an inch or so, you could smell it in the car. I ended up chopping off the straight out exhaust tips and replacing them with chromed down turned tips. It gets the exhaust into the air stream going out from under the car. It really made a big difference.
