Factory Recommended Lowering idle 75 RPM For New Vehicles?

    Some of the Mopar under hood factory tune-up decals recommend a lower idle speed for the first 300 miles during break-in. I wonder why?

    Maybe because as the engine runs in friction will be reduced increasing rpm on it's own. Maybe ?
    Chrysler did things there own way,Remember the propane method to set up the carb specs for the new emission laws back then ?
