Eddie, I would say by the hood black out and the side strips, it more than likely was a twister. I can also tell you by the G2B that it is a G=318 2=72 B=Hamtramick car.

Also, a better way to read the tag is from the back. You may be able to get a little more information.

Also, looking close at the tag, it looks like V6X which is a full length black stripe

Is all this on the bottom row?
g21
vl2
d34

If so, it's likely
G21 = C2B /6, 1972 model year, Hammy built
vl2 = VL29
D34 you already have.

I'm guessing it's a twister... Or that tag doesn't belong to the car.

If it's got e24, the G21 can't be because G would designate a 318.

Try looking at the tag from the backside. Sometimes the digits are more clearly visible.

I pretty clearly see on the bottom G2B. That says its a 72 318 car. The car is clearly a 72, so why it is titled as a 71 is beyond me.

How do you explain the E24 which designates a /6 on the bottom line far left side that eddie says he has already?

If it's E24, the G can not be correct. I bet it's a discoloration on the tag that makes it appear to be a G. Common occurance with rotted tags. If the E24 is in fact E44, then a G in that location would be correct.

I brought a cuda back that was clearly a 68, verified by vin. Vin on the title matched the car but it listed it as a 67, no explanation why and no questions asked at customs
