After decades of giving everything else automotive a try, I picked up a fully loaded '74 Dart Swinger last year. Completely stock, and I'm just the third owner. Spent the past year having new carpet and heater core installed, new paint, other such things. Getting pretty close with it.

Since every thread is worthless without pics, here are some before and afters:

Having trouble finding the clips for the rocker molding clips, so if anybody can point me to a source, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to FABO, looks like your starting a resto with a perfect candidate.

For clips I would try R/T specialties or year one.

Welcome to FABO!! Great start to your Mopar life! Glad you made it to the"right" side.

If you haven't already, post your need for clips in the wanted classified. Sellers look there.

Welcome!!! Here is an idea. Clips are hard to find. By some that are close but larger, and trim and bend to fit. Yes it is a pain but clips for my 62 Dodge Dart. The do not exist!!!

Welcome aboard. great pics btw. Imo that color doesn't get enough credit. There is something clean and simple about it that makes it good imo

Welcome, the Dart looks good. Look at R-T Specialties for clips. I have a Brougham with big (3"?) rocker moldings. I found mine there awhile back.

Thanks guys. R/T says they do have them, so thanks for the tip.

Found a couple more "before" pics on my old phone. Here's how it looked when my buddy bought it from the original owner.

And here's the driver's side when I looked at buying it from him.

New windshield gasket is on the way from Steele Rubber Products, and the trips clips were at Year One.

The task I'm saving for last is to find a set of slotted dish (aka kidney bean) mags. Summit has them new in 15" from U.S. Mags, but I need to figure out widths and backspacing.

Welcome to FABO. It looks like you found some clips. If you are looking for parts, start a wanted thread. Thanks

Welcome! Great to see another ‘73 and up A body being brought back to like new condition.

Tell us more about the car. Does it still have the build sheet? Pics of the interior? Front sway bar? 8 1/4 or 7 1/4 rear end?

Thanks! Great looking Scamp you have there. (I checked out your garage pics.)

The guy I bought it from is well known around middle Tennessee for his restoration work ability to find cars. He bought this one from the original owner a couple of years ago, and I bought it from him last year. We've been friends since we were five.

Don't know about a build sheet, but I'll ask him if he got one. This car is loaded up with options, such as air conditioning, rear speaker, etc., so it would be interesting to see what else it has underneath.

Haven't taken much in the way of interior pics yet, but here's when he brought it home:

And the new carpet going in. I know it's not the original tan, but I think the chocolate brown will make a nice contrast.

The front seat will have to be redone at some point, at least the bottom anyway. But that and the carpet were the only interior issues.

Well boss your alot further ahead than I am! Love the car today I'm installing steering column bolting down the front clip and waiting for parts in the mail lol I've got no interior to play with yet

Good call on the contrasting colors, I like that, did the same on mine years ago, with light green seats and door panels, dark green dash and door trim, and black carpet and dash pad.
