Fire fighting planes..anyone fly one?

-
Had the first fire near us that aircraft were used to fight it. Wondering if anyone on here flies one, or perhaps knows someone that does. Really wondering what it feels like when the pilot hits the water...
My son in laws brother is fighting fires in Colorado with a small plane I wish I could put up a video but don't know how.

I work for Pratt and Whitney Canada who make the PW123 turboprop engine which powers the CL-415 water bomber. About 10 years ago I had to go up to Canadair factory in North Bay Ontario to change an engine harness and I got a tour of a brand new CL-415.

The Pratt Rep that was with me went for a water pickup test flight once and said when they hit the water he thought the entire aircraft was going to tear apart.

I have the utmost respect for the guys that fly those, and the job they do.
