Does anyone know if Firm Feel is still in business?
Their website is still up, have you tried emailing or calling them.
Yes, I talked to them a month back, and got a quote. He said that they are extremely busy.
Thanks for the update!
Great guys. I've been to their shop, very clean and organized. They talk to you and are interested in you and your car. A much more personalized experience then just schlepping you parts.
That didn't work so well. Sorry for double post. First time posting here. I live closer to Dick than you do and ordered some stuff from him several months ago. Powers that be are all over him for having a business there even though he has been there much longer than the surrounding homes. Can't have any traffic in and out of there anymore so I had to have him ship it to me in the same town! He said he can't even have his Mom come visit anymore it's so bad. I was there a years ago before it was built up and you are right. Good outfit and they take time with you. I didn't even spend any money that time either.
As I recall on my last trip it was growing into a large housing development. My mom just sold 8 acres east of Orchards, south of Brush Prairie near Camp Bonneville that was my grandparents since the 50's and I can believe how much that has grown over the last 40 years. Sounds like they have the drag strip issue. Build houses all around it and then it gets shut down for noise.
Geez, I can't get this right to save my life! I live near there, right off SR500 and 219th. Been here 22 years, grew up on Sauvies Island.
You got it!!! We all had to learn it. I won't tell you that the site gets a complete makeover every 4-5 years!!! Then we all have to learn it all over again!!! Just kidding. Welcome to FABO!!!
I’ve worked on the island. Been a looooooooooong time ago.
I did a lot of work on the Island. We had a dairy farm and I did a lot haying but fortunately not much hauling . I HATED that work. The property the bridge ramp is on was bought from my Dad and granddad. I remember taking the ferry ride and our first trip over the bridge before it was officially open and was being painted. I have not lived there since about '72. Thanks for the welcome. I am on several other sites, mostly diesel, and I don't post much unless I feel someone has posted really wrong information or I can add something positive.
Sure beats the businesses that rush you through a call, right ?
I just spoke to him / them yesterday. I have some slightly used Firm Feel components that I will be posting in the for sale / suspension section this weekend. UCAs, steering box support lower bearing , idler arm and pitman arm. Someone is gonna save some $$$
Did somebody say firm feel????
I bought some parts thru them, had my steering box done as well. They are very willing to talk to you about your purchase. More than just the sale, good dudes. Would purchase from them again.
I hope so......I'm sending them a box today!
My buddy said the same thing when he went up there pick up parts he ordered.
