I have access to a '64 deck lid that is in "better" condition than the one on my '66. Can anyone say if they are interchangeable? Thanks for the help before I go get the '64.

It will bolt on and look correct! However, the prop Rod that holds the lid up will be different, and unless you happen to get lucky and have the ratcheting style already on your car, you will have to change to that style, or vise versa! The problem with changing to the 66 spring style rod is that the earlier trunk lids will not have the flat "land" where the hole is drilled for the prop Rod "S" hook! You can alway get the later style hydraulic conversion like I have, but they are pricey!!
Care to elaborate on that?

Thanks for the help Cosgig. I happened to have the piston style prop rod to go with the '64 lid and got it done. Although the alignment to make it work was difficult. I think my '66 has been lightly hit in the rear and it isn't quite straight. But I got it on and it latches.
