I have a thin Nylon cover my parents gave me for Christmas to cover my 69 Super Bee in 1982.

It works just fine (A tad large) to keep the every day dust and dirt off of my Barracuda while parked in the garage. I am planning to keep the Barracuda in the hauler over the winter months so both me and the wife can park in the garage.

Who has a custom fitted soft cover for their second generation fastback Barracuda they are pleased with?

I would like to hear your stories good or bad!

How old is it?

Have you had it on the car outside or under full cover? I know you are in some tough winters where you are!

Hey Gerald, Im not sure how old it is, Dad got it from the previous owner Jim when Dad bought it in 2012. The car is stored and covered inside in the winter. Spring to fall its outside and cover is on it 30% of the time if that helps??
It is fit for the cuda and fit great. Grommet in proper spot for antenna.

Car isnt stored at home thru the winter. Ill try and stop by and see if I can find a tag on it.

Thanks Steve.

I don't need all weather but are looking for something that fits snug and keeps the dust down. In the driving months I still like it covered because of the gravel road out front. It just makes it easier to detail before it goes out for some air!

I got a $70ish dollar 'Rain-X' WalMart cover. My car sits outside in West Texas sun, heat, occasional rain, snow and ice... been a great cover for the cost. Had it a bit over a year. May need a new one next year, but great for the cost.

I like rain-ex. Good products! How is the fit?

Many years ago, I bought a fitted cover from JC Whitney. It was the soft type, not waterproof. It held up pretty well but the cats eventually tore up the corners pretty bad. And then sun rot killed it off. This one was outside 24/7. In reality, no cover will last very long outdoors in a sunny climate. And no cover is weatherproof to the extent that you'd leave it on year-round (if it is rain resistant, you will get condensation leading to either rust or mold; if it isn't, well, pretty much same story). Anyway, Whitney had 3 or 4 grades of covers -- you could check them out.

Thanks Max!

Car will not be outside but in an enclosed trailer! It will need cover outside occasionally but only at shows. Do you know who manufactured the cover? JC Witney is so low on my list of retailers that I almost do not remember they exist! Lord knows I have not purchased any (Crap) from them in the long, recent past! Maybe I should re-visit them.

Check out California car cover. I bought one for my dads 58'chevy fleet side Truck and it fit well. He had been using it for about 12 years now. Not cheap but do hold up

Thank you,

I have heard they make great covers. Money spent well makes sense in the long run.

I am looking for a specifict fit for a second gen fastback. Hopefully a model/catalog number.

Check out AutoAnything.com. They have a great collection of different materials and styles. I have bought several over the years and have been very satisfied with the quality. Hope this helps:coffee2:

Dave...

Just go one of these at Costco for $29 bucks. Fits great but doesn't have an antenna hole. Car is garaged for the winter so I took the antenna off. For $29 bucks I could cut my own hole if need be. I'll try to post some pictures of it on the car tonight.

California Car Covers are JUNK. I have bought 2 of their best covers both have fallen apart. They did send me a new one but that has fallen apart as well. They come apart at the seams. In total I've had 5 or 6 of their covers literally come apart at the seams. Oh yeah the ones I buy were "water proof" what a lie that was. $50 cover I got off way closer to water proof (condensation will still seep through) and have yet to fall apart. Use them on my 69 and 06 Charger and 71 Dart.

Decided to have my wife modify the one I have.

It lasted 30 years so maybe it has a few more. Hopefully she can re-sew it so it fits tighter!

Thank you for the replies!!
