Finding the larger wheel lifters in stock proved impossible. If I wasn’t on a schedule, I would and infact, Bullet has some on back order for me, but no one knows when they’ll be in stock.
So for now, I’ll run the risk of the smaller wheel. For now.
Yeah, that’s a big deal.
We have never “recovered” from “Covid”.
Businesses cut way back on production runs of even the fastest moving, more profitable products.
For slower moving, lower margin products it’s even worse.
I don’t know how that ever gets fixed.
I remember bitching about a 6 week wait for custom pistons.
Now, it’s a 14 week minimum for most companies, and if the ship in 16 weeks it’s a bonus.
That’s FOUR MONTHS to get a piston.
And you hope they didn’t screw up reading the print (BTDT).
It’s crazy. I’m glad I’m 62 and not 32 because I’d still be racing and I’d lose my mind waiting two months for a stupid cam.
This is another reason why if I went raving again it would be with a big block Chevy.
Big power, easy. Cheaper. Less wait time for parts and way more **** in the shelf, even though pistons and cams for the most part should be custom.
I have a friend who switched to BBC power because of the time to wait for parts and the cost of them.
His Predator headed stuff would make power with the BBC, but if a killed a part it’s was MONTHS to get it.
It’s sad. And disgusting.
