Flipped Radiator shroud

So some stranger start liking my car and says he used to flip up side down Slant six radiator shrouds and use them on small block darts . Siad they fit great . Just curious if someone's tried this or is he slinging me some BS .

Yup, it can work- for similar sized radiators, of course; and not in all cases, kind of depends on which /6 shroud you're starting with and which radiator you've got. A bit of a crapshoot. Some trimming may be required depending on which inlet/outlet positioning you have, and possible clearancing for the trans cooler fittings & lines. Nothing major. Definitely worth a try if you've already got the parts lying around, definitely cheaper than buying a repro.

Ok, he said you had to flip it so the fan would align with opening . I remember tossing one out a few years back but I'm good I was just curious .

I've done it and it's still in my Dart. It interferes w/the trans cooler lines so some clearancing is needed.
