I have a super nice 67 Barracuda and I want to put the Formula s badges on. My car currently has the v8 badge on the fender and I'm assuming I can just remove that emblem and the Formula S badge will bolt right up......is this true?

So, it’s not a factory formula s but you want everyone to think it is?

Not really sure if it is a formula S or not, its been restored/refurbished through and through 3 years ago......although has no fender tag

It doesn't have Kelsey hayes brakes if that's the deciding factor....but has the 150 speedo

    Please educate me

Kelsey Hayes brakes could be had without the Formula-S
The 150 Speedometer could be had without the Formula-S

What your VIN engine code? 5th digit

    A full-boogie Formula-S makes a really nice streeter
I don't care if you put the Badges on,cuz, you know; they look nice and all; as long as you don't present the car as such to a prospective buyer. Even if you completely clone the S, it should not be presented as anything but a clone-car. Which shouldn't be hard with out a factory VIN or matching broadcast sheet.
But if your car has none of the important Formulas-S components, as to suspension, steering, and brakes; I can't imagine why you would want the badging. Anyone who knows anything about Barracudss will probably think less of you for that, cuz you know, it's kindof lying.
I built and drive a 68 Formula-S clone, but I left the original Vin tag on her, for a slant/auto BH29B8B. Since it does have all the S-trappings, I put the badges on...... but I installed them in the wrong places, so as not to be trying to fool anyone.

back in the day, I had a buddy with a cobra badge on his Torino, it wasn't the real deal, but it looked good on the car. His car was faster and handled better than any factory cobra. same goes for the S badge, S cars really aren't that special

Wow guys this has really stirred quite a conversation.....you make it sound like I'm a perpetrator because I want to put an emblem on my car. I've owned 5 mopars a 70 gtx, 65 satellite, 74 challenger, and 2) 67 Barracudas

I'm not looking to flip this car or persuade anyone into buying it, just asked if the emblem fit......its my ice cream car with my family

        OH no you didn't!!
        Don't dis my S.
Truly you're possibly right in today's terms; but in their day the factory upgrades made them pretty good performers. And if you drive one today, with a tight chassis, they hold their own pretty good.
Today, true S's are special by virtue of their low-production numbers, great looks, and in the 2nd gens, their ability to accept really big rear tires, so if they ain't special, they can at least look special.
But I hear ya, the only S parts still on my car, are the KH stoppers, and the badges; everything else has been upgraded, except the speedO. I put the 120piece back in for better low-speed resolution and Ticket-prevention.So far it's working, no tickets in her..... for speeding lol, since 1999.

In post 13; I was not implying anything other than unfamiliarity.
So now I admit that I jumped to a conclusion in post #6, and danced around it as gingerly as I knew how.

The ONLY thing unique to a 67 Formula S is the Badge, everything can be had separately from the Formula S.

Same as Duster/Demon; 275s look small in there,295s fit with careful fitment, 325s with a little massaging, spring relocation, and a narrowed rear so you can put a deep-dish wheel in there again.
