FOUND!!! 1968 Barracuda Factory Tach Wire Hook Up

[68 CUDA FORMULA S]

I have tried looking in my service manual and can't really find the answer so before I do anything does the tan wire that comes out of the fire wall for the factory rally dash tach get connected to the negative side of the coil.

If my memory serves me correct, for a 68 Barracuda, the tan lead goes to the negative side of the coil and the blue lead goes to a switched power source at the fusebox. Also, check the back of the tach before hooking up the leads. If they are on the wrong posts coming out of the tach and you hook them up, you will fry the tach.

Thank You for your input, the under dash wiring is all set all of that was covered in the manual just no solid info for the under hood hook up.

This is from 69 FSM. Grey to coil -ve and dark blue to fuse box.
As mentioned verify the connections on tach itself or you could fry it.

I checked my '68 Plymouth manual. Page 8-112. Looks like they forgot to show it.

Assembly manual shows wire as gray with tracer.
