I 'think' that the H code in 1969 is for a 383 HP engine, and the "S" in "LS" would be for a GTS.Wouldn't an h code by definition be a GTS?
Go on GTS registry and contact them they might have info

You are correct that an H code engine designation in 1969 was only available in a GTS and not in any other Dart model.Wouldn't an h code by definition be a GTS?

Very late for sure!He already knows it's for a 69 383 GTS, it is a very late build too!
I'm not sure where this misinformation sheet is from, but not only is it incorrect for the P code for 68/69 340s, it was also recently incorrectly used to assert the G (not F) code was used to indicate the availability of a 318 poly in 1968. It also fails to indicate the use of M to represent special order V8s such as the 440-6 in 69 B bodies and 440 in 69 A bodies.
