i am the victim of it. i use a credit union for banking. the have a pledged amount, it is for when you use your debit/visa card as a charge card. the trans. becomes a pledge when you sign it, which more or less puts a lock on the money until the transaction clears. i had a pledge for an amount that i had no idea what it was for. contacted the credit union, only thing they could tell me was the name associated with the pledge, no phone number was available with this name. was told by the credit union that they could not stop this transaction, they had to let it process and then i would need to contact the company that made the charge. i called this company this morning, and was told by them because the transaction was processed they could not help me, i needed to contact them before it cleared my account. explained why i could not, and all i go tfrom them was to contact the credit unions fraud dept. talk about a circle jerk. so i filled out the paper work from my credit union and now have to wait who the hell knows how long. and now i no longer have a debit card til the midle of next month, aint this great...

so the company charging your card would not divulge what it was they were charging you for???
they told me what they charged me for. the account that was created with my card had my address, but a different name. the company was jpay, it is an inmate service company, a way for inmates to get money from there family or some crap like that....

At least you don't have Chase for your bank. They are a bunch of no brained retarded jackasses!:thebirdm: Chase!

hey J.R., how do you really feel about Chase? you know holding back your emotions is not good for you, so let it out buddy....:toothy10::toothy10:

Oh another satisfied Chase customer, I don't think they will let me print what I think about those people! I have no use for Chase!!!!!!

I could let Nikki type her story about Chase that happened the week before our wedding. It involved her telling the manager at one of the local branches what a F**King idiot her and all the chase employees were, then cussing out some a$$hole on the phone that barely spoke English.

I have been banking with usbank and I have had some fraud issues as well. Some company charged $1 and the did it again like a day later then 67, 137 the list goes on. till about $500 total. The bank is working on it for me but I had to cut up my card and they issued a new one about a week later but the transactions were connected to the card and number so thats why I had to get a new card. I should know more this week. Keep an eye on your accounts they will steal from you every chance you get.

When buying on the internet, I've seen some things come through that were charges from "affiliated" companies of the one I purchased from. When you click through some of these companies, you don't even realize the fine print that says it's OK to charge you x.xx/month for a service.

Total BS.

I agree... Chase bank needs to be a star of a donkey show...

I stopped using my Debit card. It is too easy for them to clear out your account. At least with a credit card you can dispute the charges.

Good luck on getting it straightened out.

Just wait until someone buys a $94,000 Mercedes.........see how much trouble that brings you. It has been about 15 years and I had a block on my credit for most of that time.
