I bought new wires as old ones were 4-5 years old and still in good shape, but one boot on the plug end had torn so I put a mismatched single on to replace the torn boot one.
Ordered the MP ones from dealership. I had to put 2 old ones back on as 2 of the shorter ones are useless and too short. Coil wire too really.
I am NOT about to pull out and rotate distributor drive gear for this!!
Im not playing Mopar Sudoko to finger this out.
I'll leave em installed for now and drive into dealership on Monday to show them.
Figgered Id give everyone a heads up on these.
This is on my 273 with Commando covers and 6 pack coil bracket if you think this would make a difference??
I don't wamt blue yellow green purple or pink wires. I would like a stock appearing set. Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Steve

Ran into the same problem with those as well years ago Steve. I ended up having to buy something else.

Any suggestions John for stock looking replacements?
I'll settle for black/grey as well?
Anyone know what color the 273 wires were from factree?

I know after running into the same issue as you Steve,I went and just upgraded to some other kind Mopar Performance plug wire's. Even though they aren't stock looking but at least they were longer.

Those MP orange wires, you have to buy two sets to get a set of them long enough.
              This has been know forever.
Taylor makes a nice black set that fit great for about 35 bucks at summit.

Thanks for the link Mike, they look like a good company. Added as a bookmark! They are pricey though!
Yeah I read that in a couple reviews on Summit or Mancini.....stupid me shoulda listened, but I thought for $40

IIRC, SB mopar were originally blk wires red spark plug boots, black boots on distributor end.

I had a set (still have it) that travelled with a teener from one chassis to another to another and was in service for many years. And another on a 340 car, also for years and years. Very sturdy hi-temp plug boots; and I think they mighta bin adjustable from straight to 135* or so, perfect for them old jobber headers like; Appliance and BlackJacks and No-Name plug-hiding junk. Not cheap tho. I bought 'em at cost, cuz my employer handled the line, lol. They might still be around here somewhere, lol.

I'm running those wires on my 340 too. It was like a rubik's cube to get them to fit. I had to switch them around a few times to find the shortest wire for each plug. They don't give you an inch of leeway....:soapbox:

If they have big block sets, cut them to fit.

The shortest wire wouldnt reach any of the closest spots on dist cap. One other wire is so snug you can just barely adjust timing at dist. thats how snug it is.
Vac can is.pointed at approx 9 oclock

Good news is I drove to dealership and showed them the issue. They agreed and have another set coming in. Im on my own with the coil wire tho. Not a big deal.

Dealership initially wasn't going to help me because the part # started with a P. It didn't take long to get parts Manager involved(all while being polite). Ordered in a 2nd set and got the problem solved. #2 wire is still very snug. No fixing that. Not with these wires anyway.
Due to the coil wire being too short, I "borrowed" one wire from the 2nd set and will cut to fit for the coil.
After all this, I don't even like the looks of them under the hood with the factory red paint lol. Anyone interested in them?
I bought another set(different mfg and supplier)that I may end up putting on.
